One today tried to block me from getting on the freeway. There was a Motorhome in front of him with room for me to pull my Pickup into. But as it got time for me to pull in he pulled up blocking me.

I did notice he had an Army Licence Plate, He must have noticed my huge window decal with Marine Corps emblem and all my decals that cover my tail gate.

But he did not get my Meaning till that little Bird came out. Know some on here say I should be arrested. But it got my Meaning across and he moved out of my way. Did not escalate it even diffused the Situation.

    Anyone watched "Who killed the Electric Car" which is at BlockBuster?


    After watching the movie I wanted one. Did my investigating and they went from selling 1,000 Toyota Prius's a year to over 200,000 a year in America.(Corporate America killed the electrics but Toyota fired back with ""hydrids"".

    Toyota didn't put the "electric only" drive button on the USA Prius...but someone hacked the software and came up with a method to switch it on...and leave the motor off.

    Now I want one. Local dealer wants $30k for one. MSRP is $22k.


    Demand overcame supply. Over 200,000 Toyota Prius's are sold in America this year.

    I'm going to be one.

    I've heard that Toyota is developing a 'Plug-in' hybrid, one that runs on electrics alone for the first 50-60 miles before the gas motor kicks in. Ups the average mileage to over 100 mpg.

    I have a friend that has a hybrid Ford Escape. He gets 45-50 mpg with it. He's very happy with it.

    The prius would be a decent car if Toyota would use a small turbo diesel that would run at peak rpm to charge the batterys. You would have a greater abiltiy to run more MPG and the oppertunity to run on bio diesel. But the car companies do not want you to have anything that works too well[;)]

    $30K for an economy car sounds like a contridiction in terms! I know that the mpg numbers have been revised this year to represent real world driving. I would love to know what miliage I could expect driving from Indy to Denver with two people (perhaps 500 pounds with suitcases & stuff), A/C, and the cruise set to the Interstate speed limits.

    The little 3-cylinder turbo diesel engines they put on pumps/generators produce about 60-85Hp. and will run 12 hrs, on 6 gallons. Howcome they don't use those?
    If you had a source for "BIO" you wouldn't even need the "ELECTRO" trac. motors.

    electric cars could work for most people. If you used a generator at home and dumped the heat into your water tank/house while recharging the car you would save $$. If you want more range you could buy or rent a generator trailor.

    If everyone drove smaller cars at a max speed of 45 mph we would have less congestion/accidents, but how many americans want to live like that?

    some tech geek in Cali did that several years ago, he should be getting royalties for pioneering the "super-hybrid"

    I just wonder if, when one of them pulls out in front of my water truck, then slams on the brakes to turn left, if as I run over it, there is a chance of electrocution? :D
