I just caught it on CNN... Cleveland police are givn away 100.00 worth of gasoline for every handgun you turn in.....

    Almost funny thing is that if that $100.00 in gas was misused, it could do much more damage and cause many times more death than that one gun.

    Will people never learn? People kill. Sometimes they use knives, guns, gasoline, poison, clubs, etc. So if banning something will stop the violence, it would seem easier to just ban people.

    I dont care if the gun was a piece of crap that wasnt worth more than fifty bucks I still wouldnt be part of thier buy back program.

    If only I was close enough. I have a drawer full of old H&R & Iver Johnson junk handguns. Price of gas I'd turn a few in.

    Which Cleveland? I live in Cleveland Ohio and I wouldn't turn my guns over to the cops for gas.

    I live in Cleveland, and I heard about this morning. There is a catch on this gun grab, the handguns must be in good condition and perfect working order. They made it a point to mention that they do not want junk guns. I am sure all the thugs are going to go down and turn in their weapons. The real people who are going to turn them in are the poorer families that are struggling to get by, so in essence all you are going to create is more potential victims. They also mentioned that this offer was only good to the first 450 people, and there was a one gas card per person limit regardless of how many handguns you turned in. Shameful to say the least.
