I don't know anything about the rifle but the Smith is about $250 too much IMO. The -5 is post P&R and in my experience the -5s are more prone to barrel damage than the others. I think they had a bad batch of steel in the -5 barrels. A nice -3 can be had for $400 or less with some looking. 0 -
