Sherry's changing, that's for sure.
Sherry hasn't been a modest girl in her childhood. Once while she was living with us, she was taking a shower in the downstairs bath. She spied a spider in the tub and came running and screaming buck naked into the den for me to go kill it.
Once after she went to live with her mom and dad, she and her brothers were here with us for the weekend. She had eaten grandma's spaghetti (her favorite) and had dribbled some on the front of her shirt. I told her to change it. She walked over to the couch where her overnight bag was, and pulled off the dirty shirt and put on a clean one in front of everyone without thinking about it.
We've been working on a little modesty for a while!
She started through puberty a little while back, and I see some changes! She and her youngest brother have been here since Friday night. They were getting ready for their mom and dad to pick them up, so I was making sure they had all of their stuff packed.
I picked up her dirty clothes from yesterday and put them in a plastic bag and was putting them in her overnight bag. She ran up to me and said, "I'll put them in there" as she grabbed them from my hand. Then she looked up at me and said, "Pawpaw, you can't look in there. My underwear are in there."[:0]
Sandy said she had her training bra in there and didn't want me to see it![^]

Some girls/women are more modest than others. My youngest daughter is very modest and Olivia would never dream of stepping out of her room without being fully clothed and she wears swim suits that are more suited for a 10 year old (or a 60 year old) than for a girl of 18. She is a BIG girl up top and very self consious about it. My oldest girl Christine is the exact opposite (and the opposite build) and thinks nothing of walking around in a towel (or less) on the way to and from the bathroom and wears only the briefest swim suits from Wicked Weasel. When we were all in Baden Baden, Christine and I were upstairs at the mixed bathing (men and women) spa, which is a mandatory nude area, taking a steam bath, using the sauna and sun bathing together while Mrs. K and Olivia were downstairs playing in the pool with the old ladies, the kids and the other American tourists. Modesty is primarily a cultural issue with Americans and Muslims seeming to be the most inhibited peoples on the planet while Europeans are far more comfortable about being unclothed. 0 -
When Travis was a boy he was NEVER modest. He would go to the bathroom to shower, and not take a change of clothes or robe with him. He would take off his dirty clothes and put them in the hamper. He would dry himself, sort of, and hang up his towel. Then, he would walk to his bedroom from the bathroom, a pretty good hike that took him right past the living room, buck naked and unashamed.
I never said anything to him about it. Somewhere around age 11 or 12, he all of a sudden stopped, and became very modest. No one had to tell him. It just happened.0 -
Vanessa is 6 and was taking a shower in my bathroom one weekend. I was starting to dry her off when david walked in. SHe just freaked out.saying great great great..I said what she said Uncle David just saw my naked.I said yeah so SHe looked at me and said Nana Da he is going to go to work and tell ALL his cop firends that he saw me NAKED!!!!!
I couldnt stop laughin here is a well 5 year old at the time and she was worry about david seeing her naked...0 -
I have not personaly seen this, But My sister in law tells me that her 14 year old daughter hangs out at home naked all the time. That may not be a bad thing, except she has two brothers one 13 and one 10. They also have friends over all the time and their she is, naked.
Seems a little weird to me.
I rarely/never visit, And absolutely never enter the home.0 -
