How do youn live?
2 years ago My wife and I bought a house!Whent from 15 years in a two bedroom apartment with a population of a million to a pop. of 600?No more street cleaning tickets and endless hours of looking for parking!

Absolutely wonderful!!!! After living there for a while, moving back to town would seem like going to prison. Are there trout in that creek? If not, you should get you some. Bet the lab loves it.
And if anybody comments negatively about the pink flamingos and Christmas lights, they have no sense of style.0 -

where is this?
btw...moving from a city to that kind of environment tends to have its share of headaches unique unto itself.
if you havent prepared for it, it will bite you.
though its very nice, one wildfire and its gone.
one mudslide and its gone.
power outages, water running dry, tree falls, septic overflow, etc.... if youre not a country boy, you best learn how to be.
im a new englander. i know harsh.
most people leave harsh.
because of todays ways and with so much crap going on, a lot of people are going back to the old ways...but without common sense or SKILL.
all i can say is, good luck and i pray you have good neighbors, even if theyre 5 miles away, youll learn to depend on them.
and remember, youre in natures home now. THEY WERE THERE FIRST. be kind to nature.[;)]

Bobski...very few houses in my area have gutters...the winter snows would rip the right off. As for all the other things you mentioned, I kind of thought everyone knew how to deal with those issues...well, at least everyone on GB[;)][:)]0 -
You know ECC, I used to expect a lot more from people too. Then one day I realized that most of us have knowledge through necessity. The rest go to school and get the knowledge the best they can. I forgot what my point was......there's my hookah. . . . . . . .

I live somewhat remotely also. Probably not 500 people in a 10mi.
radius, 30mi. to the grocery store, etc.
