A tad far to drive but if you want company, shoot me out a round tip ticket and I'll be there. I'll even buy lunch. [;)]

I have been to the Market Hall show a few times. Not too bad as far as the selection...but like most shows now days, there is more junk showing up than ever before.

I have bought a few things there in the past that had a great price.

We may be able to get over there Sunday after church.

The Market Hall show is put on by a collectors club rather than a regular promoter, so it's about the only decent show left ith the DFW area.....They are pretty good about keeping the junk out.....It's also a pretty good size show......

If it's like it used to be, no ammo allowed.

I haven't been in awhile, but always liked the Ft. Worth show more.

The North Texas Gun Club/Dallas Gun Collectors also sponsor several shows per year in the area. A bunch, really. DACA has only 5 shows at Market Hall.

DACA used to advertise 2,000 tables and "always a sellout," and they would still like you to believe that, but over the years, the aisles mysteriously got wider.

Personally, I like doing business with NTGC/DGCA over DACA. Just more down to earth folks interested in putting on a good show and keeping the vendors happy.

They've always allowed ammo at Market Hall.....It was the shows that used to be held at the Dallas Convention Center that didn't......

I've been many times. Ammo tends to be a bit pricy compared to some other local shows. Got a few good deals there, notably my Hi Power for a measly $325! Was my only lucky day!
I might make it out there. I work around the corner.
    It's usually a good show.
It's a different crowd then some others in the area.
It scares me sometimes when I see "punks" barely old enough to drive buying semiauto tactical rifles.
    I guess I'm just getting older.[:I]

I went there a few times almost 10 years ago, you could easily spend all day long if you wanted to see everything, or all 3 days if you're just poking around. it was huuuuuge. some very interesting stuff. hot chicks. anything you wanted was there somewhere, for a price. reading what was said above, it may not be quite the event that it was back then, but it's a big place so it's still gotta be worth checking out.

Busch, ya make it sound pretty good. I guess I am going to go, probably on Saturday morning, SINCE I DON'T HAVE A COWBOY HOME PLAYOFF GAME TO ATTEND!!![V]

Anyone headin' out there let me know, and I'll send my handsome stunt double to meet ya!

I would like to know if anyone from Gunbroker is going to this show on Sunday. dheffley was going to go, but has to work instead. We would go to Market Hall Sunday afternoon if we thought we would be able to meet up with any of you.

If you're going that late, I'm going to try to hit work early and still make the show Sunday afternoon. I'll call you if I can make it.

Yep. Went Saturday at noon and it was PACKED!! The line was around the corner. I hate waiting in line so we rented a room in the Rennissance Hotel next door and hung out. When the line went down we went over, I think about three.

Really sorry to miss you guys. Maybe we all need GUNBROKER T-shirts that have the logo real big on the front and our screen names on the back like mouseketeers...

What were your impressions of the show?

I give it a B- for poor, slow admission into the show, and the over-all wierd crowd quality. Was there an AD when ya'll went?

A LOT of tables, and the jerky was good. My wife bought a magnifying loop, I bought lunch. Pretty good gun selection, didn't pay attention to ammo...left, went across town and bought stingray cowboy boots.

    maybe next time.
