    LOL

Visit Chapultepec Castle on Chapultepec Hill and within you will see a
huge diaramma of the Alamo. It's considered one of Mexico's finest
    victories!

... it's all a matter of PC perspective ... same with Europe, today.

Hmmmmmmmm, same with America, today, too, matter of fact.

    Es verdad, seniors?

If that is true we will have another Holocaust.
I wonder if your group being the target this time might want you to not forget the times when men went way over the line, as a matter of perspective, of course!

Sounds like you are ready to convert to Islam.

"Sounds like you are ready to convert to Islam."

Sounds like I've been watching - up close and personal -
the crumbling of America for the past 25+ years.

Sounds like you've got vision problems.

Curious. How did you deduce that?

I've read that the Brits will be re-writing textbooks on the Holocaust and Crusades. I found the following post from this link

No lessons on the Holocaust, Crusades, slave trade 'in case pupils are offended'

Schools are dropping controversial subjects from history lessons - such as the Holocaust and the Crusades - because teachers do not want to cause offence, Government research has discovered.

The way the slave trade is taught can lead white children as well as black pupils to feel alienated, according to a study by the Historical Association.

A lack of knowledge among teachers, particularly in primary schools, is also leading to "shallow" lessons on emotive and difficult subjects.

Some teachers dropped the Holocaust completely from lessons because of fears that Muslim pupils might express anti-semitic reactions. One school avoided teaching the Crusades because its "balanced" handling of the topic would directly contradict what was taught in local mosques.

The report, funded by the Department for Education and Skills, said: "Teachers and schools avoid emotive and controversial history for a variety of reasons, some of which are well-intentioned.

"Staff may wish to avoid causing offence or appearing insensitive to individuals or groups in their classes.

"In particular settings, teachers of history are unwilling to challenge highly contentious or charged versions of history in which pupils are steeped at home, in their community or in a place of worship."

The researchers gave the example of one history department in a secondary school in a northern city which decided not to teach the Holocaust as a topic for GCSE coursework.

The report said teachers feared confronting "anti-semitic sentiment and Holocaust denial among some Muslim pupils". Christian parents at another school complained about the way the Arab-Israeli conflict was taught.

"In another department, the Holocaust was taught despite anti-semitic sentiment among some pupils, but the same department deliberately avoided teaching the Crusades at Key Stage 3 (for 11- to 14-year-olds) because their balanced treatment of the topic would have directly challenged what was taught in some local mosques."

The study said too many teachers "play safe". It called for better training in how they should handle difficult subjects.

Emotive issues such as the slave trade can be taught too blandly, portraying Afro-Caribbeans as victims and isolating black pupils, the report said.

But when teachers down play the role of the white authorities in abolishing the slave trade, white children can become alienated.

The report came as Britain marks 200 years since the passing of laws which brought about the end of transatlantic slavery. The anniversary caused angry protests and renewed demands for a formal Government apology for Britain's role in the trade.

Earlier this year, a Government review of citizenship education recommended that all pupils should learn about issues such as slavery and the legacy of the British Empire. Children should be encouraged to develop their own sense of British identity to avoid social divisions widening between different groups, it said.

The winners write history. Guess whos winning this war?
Cowards die a hundred deaths a little at a time, a brave man only dies once.
The real question is " Are you ready to die or are you afraid to live free. This is our home land now and i'll die trying to keep it that way.

I love what Churchill wrote on History.

"History will be kind to me for I intend to write it".

It is unimaginable that we now consider it better to avoid the truth and risk it repeating than confront it and learn from it.

Young Muslims believe they will gain control over Britain and France creating a nuclear deterrent forcing the US to be isolated in the western hemisphere.
When I asked why they were not considering a take over of the US government they said it could not be done because if they did the 80 million plus gun owners would take it right back.

Britain!!! Can you here me now???

I wonder if the muslims have ever stopped to consider just who would have been next on Hitler's list!!!!
It was either them or those totally annoying Brits.
I've never really understood all the the complaning about the Holocaust. When Hitler told the US that the Russians where killing millions fo their own people, we dummied up like one of Chill Wills movie roles and said "Well that's OK"...That pretty much sounds like we were giving him the green light to me!!!
And what is the difference between killing them a thousand at a time or Four Hundred and Fifty Thousamd at a time like Truman did after the war was pretty much over. Die-hard Pro-Truman fans would say it saved a lot of American lives and it probably did. But were the American lives of 1945 any more valuable than the lives of 2007? No!!!
Personally I see nothing different in what Hitler did than what the Ruskies did. And I see very little difference to what the Ruskies did to what was done all over the Americas to a people that inhabited the lands that free for the taking, that is if you were willing to kill the so called Godless savages that were there slightly before you!!!
I say "let it die" like it never was... just like we pretend President Ulysses S. Grant's holocust of the Native American never happened.
Personally I can think of about five Middle-Eastern nations that could use a little Holocausting right about now. And I must confess I'd probably just get on with my life, shall we say, "LIKE IT NEVER HAPPENED"!!!

This article is a summative report of a study done by the British Department of Education. I found several sources for the report in British newspapers, both conservative and liberal, and there was general dismay at the results noted in some instances.

There was NO statement that this sort of education was the norm, but these examples were used to point out that teachers and, in a few instances, schools sometimes avoid controversial topics just because it is easier and less confrontational in the classroom. There was NO support for the concept or promotion of the idea that this is the manner in which history should be taught.

There are a couple of reasons why this kind of thing goes on, and we deal with them here on a regular basis. First, time is a factor, you just can't teach all of the important things that have happened throughout history in one or two classes. My mother taught U.S. History and when she started, the Great Depression was only about half over. Imagine how much history has been added since that time. If you're going to cover the events since 1934 in the same class as before, something has to get dropped or slighted.

The second element is simply an effort to avoid confrontation. It is easy to say that it goes with the job, but that doesn't mean that all teachers will deal with it well, or wish to deal with it at all. Look at some of the more controversial topics that pop up here, and how quickly some of the discussions turn vicious, and you can begin to see the problem. What we can tolerate here would simply not be acceptable in a classroom and would get a teacher fired.

There are several whack jobs here who cannot accept any position, no matter how extreme, as being extreme enough to suit their tastes, and we have a pool of trolls who will argue that the sun doesn't come up in the East in the morning just because it amuses them. Both groups tend to have a following of loyal "yes men" to urge them on to greater endeavors. How could you deal with that in a class of thirty kids, most of whom hate that type of environment, and some of whom actually wish to learn?

Silly or not that is what they told me personally.

    But, how realistic are they?
They also told me the Holocaust never happened to the Jews.
The "real" holocaust was when Rommel killed 18 million Muslims in North Africa.
No, I am not making it up. These young Muslims insisted it was true and covered up by the Jews.

There are so many reason why they don't have their heads on straight but, they believe their insanity.
