My Son comes home tomorrow

My Son, Darren, returns from Afghanistan tomorrow. His Brother Dave is meeting him at Fort Bragg. I couldn't go, I'm prohibited (medically) from flying. He's a hard charger of whom I'm extremely proud.

He did a tour in Iraq, came home and went to Parachute School, and was redeployed to Afghanistan.

I SO proud of ALL my Sons (daughters too), but I can't help worrying when they are not on American soil.

One more Son - Doug II - is still overseas and should be home mid-May.

Please keep them all in your thoughts and prayers.

    I am very sorry for you that you can't meet him when he gets off the plane. My boy will be coming home for R&R in May, and then home for good in September or December. I plan to be there for both arrivals.

    Tell your boys THANKS from most of us. You have every right to be obscenely proud.

    Welcome home, Darren, and thanks for doing what you do.

    Doug II, stay safe, do your best, and come home soon.

    And Nunn (and anyone with Kids in the Services)... may your Son come home safe and sound. I think about Travis just about daily. It is really tough over there.
