how good is Remington customer service

    Send it in. The only time I had to pay to have a Remington fixed was when I did something wrong-like knock over an 1100 and cracked the forend.

    I even had a plug screw break off on a newer gun-clearly my fault-and they removed it and sent it back for free. Another case of the gun industry doing right by it's customers.

    If every business ran like most firearm related businesses, the USA would not be in the kind of trouble we are in-and it's still the best place to live in the world.

    I sent a 700 bolt action rifle in to Remington's service center, they fixed the problem at no cost to me.[:D]

    I have dealt with them several times over the years. Call them first. They will more than likely have you send it to an authorized gunsmith to fix it. There may be one fairly close to you. I sent in a new Rem 700 VS that needed work on the bolt face and it went to a New York outfit. I have always had good service.
