Kimber 10mm or 45??
Which should I go with 10mm or 45? Looking at a kimber eclipse.

How about a little more info. What do you want the pistol for? Plinking,Self protection, hunting? Both have their distinct advantages. 0 -
for me it would be the 45 hands down ammo is cheaper and readily available and unless you seriously reload 10mm isnt going to be the way to go. 0 -

I would go with the 10MM, it is a great round: Powerful & accurate. But then again I would reload it. If you do not reload go with the .45, you would shoot it more than the 10MM. But the 10MM would be a great excuse to get into reloading[:p] 0 -
hands down .45, 10mm is a fine round, but not readily available, and expensive, it will also not help the resale value if you need to sell it or trade it in, you will find the excuse "it's a obscure caliber" so you have to take a loss b.s. 0 -
45ACP would be my suggestion...but then agai nit is my favorite caliber. 0 -

The .45 is hard to beat. Since I already have two Kimber .45's I would get the 10mm becasue it is next on my list but the cost of ammo & availability factor if you don't reload is a good thing to consider. I would not trade my Kimber Gold Combat .45 for a new Kimber 10mm. 0
