$57K for a pair of Colt SAA's from a "NR" seller

Nothing like a NR seller offering a pair of rare Colt Single Action Army revolvers for $57,000! [:o)]

I don't doubt that they could very well be worth the money. I would be more concerned about the person offering them, actually having them![:0]

Real or not I just can't see why folks pay that much money for one set of guns. I could complete my gun wish list with well under that amount probally.

I see he has several more high dollar guns for sell. I'm not a collector so I wouldn't have any idea of the prices on these guns, but to buy from a NR seller would be a risky investment enough.

So you think the seller is running a scam just because he/she has a NR next to their name? Every seller on here started the same way. This seller has been a member since 02.

I'd bid if the engraving wasn't so deep on the cylinder chambers.
They're thin enough as it is on the .45.
What's going on with the grips? Is that fine designwork?
For that money they should have one piece grips.
The repro case should have a dozen holes for shells and an ivory handled cleaning rod and screwdriver.
Not enough attention to important detail.
I'll pass.

The guy probably sold the origional case(if he ever had it)don't know why, but also GRD mentioned non consecutive serial #s I noticed that too. This should not be for such high end firearms, unless the guy aquired them separately and is selling them as a pair. That may explain the lack of a quality case ect.

Would it make you guys feel better about offering over two hundred and forty THOUSAND dollars worth of guns if he had his entire two hundred and forty DOLLAR Jennings collection up for sale too?
Considering what he's selling, I'd guess he's a known collector. Maybe he wants anonymity? Those Colt guys are kinda odd anyway!
