RRA ar lower receiver color differences?

Why are some of the RRA lower receivers gloss and some look like they're flat on the auctions? Does RRA make different lowers?

went to their website, I don't see any indication that they do. I don't have an explanation.

I've got an early Colt that had a painted lower receiver. Maybe RRA had some painted ones before they went to parkerizing as well.

The differences you are seeing are most likely a dry receiver and then another that has oil on it.
They are all the same.
Aluminum is not parkerized.
The lowers are hard coat annodized.

The first RRA lower I got looked funny, kind of flat. I soaked it in oil for about 3 days removed it and it has darkened up and looked great ever since.
