S&W 500 Rifle?

Does anyone know of or know of plans by any of the gun manufactures to make a rifle that will chamber the S&W 500?
Does anyone else think it would make a great round out of 16 inch lever action rifle? It would make life great for me for sure since I switched over to a 500 for a carry gun in bear country then I could carry a rifle that used the same ammo. Well I can dream anyway.

    I know there is already a NEF break action single shot but I thought PUMA had marketed an lever action in .500S&W to go with their .480 Ruger and .454 Casull versions.

    NEF makes one,a real lot of fun, no real recoil. The one I shot was very accurate to boot. It would make a great brush gun for deer.

    I was wondering the same thing now that we can deer hunt in Indiana with a rifle using handgun cartridges.

    I heard the NEF one kicked pretty hard but haven't tried one yet. I guess since you have input from someone who's actually shot one you should probably listen to that.

    Thompson Center has barrels for it in the Encore. I would bet it won't be long before Marlin is chambering it in their lever guns.

    Recoil is in the eye of the beholder! The 500 NEF that I shot kicked like a Missouri mule! But it was a hoot to shoot! After deer season, my son's frame is going in for one. [:p]

    I had a NEF chambered for .500 S&W. Bought brand new, also got 2 boxes(all they had) of Magtech 400 grain shells. Marked off 50 yards and put target up. I adjusted iron sights all the way up, loaded a round, squeezed the trigger and the next thing i know i was cursin a bit and rubbin a shoulder. The gun even jumped out of my hand at the forearm. At 50 yards it shoots a 12 inches low. Also i couldn't raise the gun up if i shot 5-6 rounds back too back. It does have a bit of a kick. Felt alot harder than a 3inch mag. sister out of a 12 gauge. Oh after one box, i am no longer the owner of it.

    i had come with the same idea some time ago of a lever gun in either .460XVR or .500 S&W, someone sent me a link to a manufacturer that does both but i can't remember it for the life of me
