Mercury truck
Was watching a movie last night (Robert Redford) and noticed he was driving a Mercury pickup. I guess, because of my old age, I had forgotten or either didn't realize Mercury had ever offered a pickup. They must be scarce cause I just don't recall ever seeing one.

For quite some time, Fords were sold in Canadia under the "Meteor" nameplate.

I have even seen a Plymouth pickup.
Studebaker pickups aren't to hard to come by around here. There is one sitting in the trees 2 miles from me. I want to put it on a mosre modern 4x4 chassis.0 -
The Studebaker was a truck ahead of it's time. We had one when I was a kid, has a "hill Holder" feature. If you were on an incline, you put it in first, depressed the clutch allthe way and it wouldn't roll backwards. 0 -

Sounds like our old two ton farm truck, a Dragonfly.

Plymouth pickups (rebadged Mitsubishi) were available in the 80's.0 -
Dodge trucks in Canada are Fargo's.Yes Plymouth build pickups in the late 1930's and early 1940's.My friend in California has 3 or 4 Plymouth pickups at this time.Then there is the Pontiacs that were built in Canada.Mostly Chevy parts,with Pontiac Name tags.

I saw an Edsel Ranchero in the next town from where I live.It looks like about a 57 model.I dont know if its factory,but if someone built it(Edsel front clip on a ranchero) they did a very good job. 0 -
IIRC the seperate nameplate/model thing for Canada has gone the way of the 8-Track tape deck. I think it ended in the late 70's 0 -
