got the mail from you yesterday. Thanks very much for contributing to the Kid's Christmas giveaway.

    Merry Christmas.

Not sure if you put the Secretariat stamp on the envelope on purpose, but I kept that as a "gift" as well. Nice choice of stamps. [:)]

You obviously know your stuff with form 4 items and such. I just had a quick question about WA state and silencers. I know there was somthing coming down to overturn our restrictions about silencers and the use of in our state and figured it would be somthing you kept a close eye on. Have you heard anything lately?

Sorry about not getting back to ya sooner, but I just noticed that you asked about the Tapco stocks for a Ruger 10/22. IMO it is definitely worth the price that you pay for it. I really like the feel of mine. Easy to install(mine required no extra work at all) and it looks really neat. Function wise it hasn't affected accuracy and I haven't had a problem with it. Hope this helps some.

A while back you were talking about building an SBS out of a coach gun. Just to let you know CDNN has a Remington SPR coach gun with external hammers listed in their latest catlog for $339.99.

I need a sling, is there any difference between them all except name? Also I am left handed. I have no idea about slings, I like the blackhawk slings but I heard magpul is comming out with a sling that is a single point and opts as a 2 point also. I am interested in a single point.

Eagle. The old ones with the metal parts on top are the best (haven't seen one in a long time), the plastic ones work very well too.

The TI mags are by far the very best you can buy http://www.tacticalinc.com/ti25-advanced-composite-steel-magazine-ruger-1022-p-532.html?osCsid=e14b58c1b445fb6a57f166f1f7c9ef20 . I have one of the composites now and plan on getting more. I have used Butler Creek "hot lips" with good luck, but after 10 years and thousands of rounds some of the feed lips are getting pretty sad. BC make a "steel lips" mag which should hold up longer and are slightly cheeper then the TI mags.

I have not used Ramline mags but have heard very mixed reviews on this. I have tried a couple of the cheep $8 Eagle mags and they work very very poorly for me.

I have had great luck with several Butler Creek Steel Lips mags. I have shot thousands of rounds through the standard BC Hot Lips mags as well but the steel lips hold up better. I have built several 10-22's and using tight chambered barrels the steel lips mags work where the plastic lip mags usually don't.
