air powered cars ?

I was watching a show on these little cars,the first ones they built would only run around 35mph but now they have them running in the 60's with a small fuel powered engine as a backup,they are even taking orders for them to be used as taxi's in several countries,they look funny but to run several hours and not burn one drop of fossel fuel I think I could get used to the looks,being an on the road salesrep I would try one,I buy around $1000 in gas every month and they are saying the larger model should be coming out in the mid to high $20's ,it would not take long to pay for itself,,,
