I wish I would have known that. Someone offered me one when I was shopping for Tori's carry gun, probably like new, something like $375. I didn't know much about them.

I sure lucked out when I bought mine. It was about 1999-2000. I was headed to the gun shop to pick up a smaller carry gun and had my mind set on a Glock 30. I was currently carrying a Glock 17 and wanted a smaller gun, easier to conceal gun. I had held and shot the G30 but never really compared it to the G17, well it is not "really" any smaller then my G17. So I started looking at smaller guns and there was this nice new stainless Colt Mustang sitting there. After fondeling it for a bit I decided I had to have it. The store said it was one of the last ones they were going to see and I paid out $350 for this gun. I was happy that I had spent about $150 less then I thought I was going to. This gun gets carried a lot in the summer in my front pocket. It is very accurate, reliable, and fun to shoot. I can not belive th price they go for now days. Just wait another 10 years and see what they go for.

I paid 350 for a stainless one several years ago. Would pay 400 for another in a heartbeat, blue or stainless, in that condition.

When you think of "pocket guns" its hard to find something that small and still a GOOD gun. A lot of the guns that small are the junkers and the two or three brands out there making decent ones are hard to find.

AMT, Kel tec are the most decent of the mid range guns. They usually run just under $300....everything else is a bit BIGGER and not as "collectable"....like the Kahr and Millenium.

People like those guns because they are WORTH more...since more people want them and there are few parted with. Colt has built a name and people want them.

Wow!! what caused the price to jump so much- a few years ago my dad bought 2, one with some engraving, for $200 each.

It's a COLT! Another reason to buy the "name", spend the extra and you'll get it back +. Dad did VERY well!

    The last two I sold I got $650 for a 95% gun and $575 for a 85% gun.
