Gift for wife
Ladies, I need gift ideas for my wife. Not a special occassion or anything, this is just because. Just remember, I ain't rich. Thanks ladies.

Well, here's some suggestions:
1. It should not be something that you secretly hope she doesn't want so you can have it. Women pick up on this trick.
2. It should not plug into the wall.
3. It should not be something to help her do housework better, more efficiently, etc. You will never, ever hear the end of it if you make this mistake.
4. While you're not rich, it should look like you at least put thought into it, and the thought should last more than casually paying for gas at the station.
5. Do not pick something up for her where you filled your car up.0 -
She works at home taking care of the kids while I am at work. She does the house cleaning, laundry etc... with a little help from me. She also has a part time job. In other words she keeps our family running. Strongest women (besides my mother) I ever meet. 0 -

Having been in this position ourselves some of the greatest gifts my husband has ever given me are:
1. Getting someone to take the kids for the evening (home or away)and doing something we never have time for any more. We used to spend hours at the bookstore browsing, once our son came along it was hard to do this. Sometimes our big date night is spent browsing, with an option to buy, and getting a cup of coffee. Sounds corny? We love it.
2. Packing our son off to spend the day at the beach (or anywhere else free)and letting me know I could come or stay home to have "time to myself".
3. Take her out to breakfast (with or without the kids depending on your budget). It's the cheapest meal to eat out. Just avoid the buffets if you bring the kids since they don't usually eat enough to make it worth it. Having someone cook and deliver your food is a great gift. BTW, talk to her about HER during this meal.
4. You put the kids to bed. You clean up the dishes. Shut off the television and talk with her.
Aren't I easy to please?[:D]
Want to spend a little more? Buy her a nice perfume, tell her to have dinner out with her friends if the 2 of you can't get away together, etc.

It is rather obvious how much you love her and how much you respect her...
Flowers are okay, but are really a wasted gift in my eyes...They dont last....Jewellry is nice yes, if that is what she likes....spas are nice to but again if that is something she likes...
Sounds like you want to show her how much you appreciate her, and tis wonderful you think that way....
I think the best gift is one where its the two of you....Get a sitter, take her on a quiet romantic picnic....there are stores where they will pack a beautiful dinner for you, get some wine, a special little gift with the words Just Because engraved on it,,, a ring?, a family pin?...etc
A lot of women, me included, dont want big expensive gifts....What means the most is how much thought YOU put into the gift...Anyone can buy a fur or diamonds, but it takes a man with a giant loving heart to take the pretty rock found together on the beach, make it into a necklace, present it to her etc...you will be king in her eyes and heart always..
It doesnt have to be much or expensive...you know her best hon,...what has she spoke of that means a lot to her, something you did together?...then go from there..

If your budget is a bit tight, why not send the kids to a sitter, make her dinner at home, candlelight, music etc pamper her....
What did you do when you were dating?...What did you spend the most time together doing?...Talking? walking on a beach?..riding?...what?..
Hire a horse drawn buggy, even for just an hour or so, take her for a ride....if you have a boat, have a picnic on the boat, then a leisuely ride, pick shells on the beach, string them into a necklace for her...
The main thing is to let her know the day is for her and you, talk to her...Classic and I spend hours talking, bout important things and nothing, it means more to a woman than you will ever know...We also love wandering thru flea markets, even wandering thru a mall, stopping for a cup of coffee and maybe a snack,...we can spend all day doing nothing .....Those are the things that mean the most, the time together talking and laughing....0 -
The gift itself matters very little if you put it inside a toaster oven before you wrap it. I did that once with a $20,000 dollar diamond bracelet and after she saw what it really was, she didn't mind a bit..see how simple it is??[:D][:D][:D][:D] I'm jokin' jest a speck of course..BR has it right. Get someone to watch the kids for the weekend and get a room (2 nights), somewhere out of town where she can relax and sleep in. Get her some bubble bath, and her favorite beverage and fill the tub for her. Let her relax in candle light bath. Don't get horney and start thinking Hey! Let her relax. Taking her out for breakfast and supper too is always a big hit. Make it her weekend. 0 -
