Fired up the furnace this evening

Indian Summer is gone. I lit the pilot light on the furnace and set the thermostat to 65.

    I got my first propane bill. It cost $2.65 per gallon! I'm waiting as long as possible to fire up the money incinerator. Going to be an expensive year.[:(]

    Heat with wood and coal-anything else puts the money in the wrong pockets. That being non-US and non-US worker pockets.

    Heating with electricity will suffice too-because I'll make all you can use and more!

    ...Hate to admit it, but I lit the pilot also. We usually try to make it to Halloween, but we're short on firewood this year.

    ...As for propane, mine was $1.86. Call around to different suppliers, and if they are lower, call your guy and see if you can get a bill adjustment. I saved 50-70 cents a gal. last year, doing that.
