Recoil Buffer?

bought this little recoil buffer from buffer tech.
suppose to fit into the AR receiver and cushion the bolt from impacting the frame and the little SOB fits in there alright but i can't get the pin to line back up i cant push the upper and lower together hard enough to match them back up. anyone else use similar buffer?

  I think what you have is their spacer to take up any slack between upper and lower. It does not buffer recoil. If you can not get take down pin in you probably don't need one.

  Thats not a recoil buffer. It is an accuwedge and is installed to tighten the fitup between the upper and lower receiver.
