Trying to understand... (PT145 vs. PT745)
So I was at a local gunshop yesterday checking out the Taurus PT145 and the PT745.
From the website (www.taurususa.com), the 745 is hailed as a more 'compact' version of the PT145. You read this and see the description, where the PT145 holds 10rds of .45 and the PT745 holds 6, and you think 'That makes sense.'
Right up until you hold them in your hands, side by side...
THEY ARE PRACTICALLY THE SAME SIZE IN ALL DEMENSIONS! Seriously! You have to squint hard to be able to tell. Even the grip feels almost identical.
Now if the 745 was truly more compact, I could understand. But why would you sacrifice 4 rounds in the magazine seemingly for the only 'advantage' of having... less rounds in the magazine?
Going to be picking up the 145 in a couple of days.
