SKB had been importing ithaca guns (made in Japan) for a while. In 1999 The new ithica double was reborn under the company name Ithaca classic Doubles of Victor, New York Only 50 per year to be produced..

Made in China, have sold several to Cowboy shooters and so far so good. Not sure I would want to hunt a bear with one.

Perhaps I should clarify. I'm speaking of the pump shotguns...Clones. He's not using it to hunt bear, but to defend himself from a bear in Grizzly country. Thanks!

This is the company that made them. They are not currently listed on their hompage. Hope this helps[:)]

    IAC is the importer.

I sold IAC Ithica Model 37 clone shotguns and they were marked as Norinco/IAC.

Not sure if you mean quality or price. I was thinking price when I read what ECC wrote. I can buy a model 500 for 165.00 new here in St. Louis. I have never found another brand sell for less than that.

Did you tell the guy he ought to buy something that is known for it's dependability? It could mean his life![:0]

They were new so I never actually shot one.
The guys who bought them said they were good for what they cost and functioned well. They are just a basic matte finished short barrel no frills shotgun with black plastic furniture. Fixed choke and if I remember right they were choked cylinder.

I'd suggest nothing larger than a .410 in Grizzly country. And ABSOLUTELY no sights and especially no rib. Shortest barrel possible too.
With the above bases covered, it won't hurt so bad when big bad Mr. Grizzly sticks it up the guys AZZZ!!!!!!!!!
Sorry, but I just can't resist these!!

Now that you put it that way, I think I'll stick to my faithful NAA .22 mag.[:0][B)][:X][:D]

The worst gunI ever (briefly) owned was a Norinco m1897 pump
POS and would not fire until you released foregrip.
    Not a good quality!
I would pass on any others in the line,
    and I love norico ak+sks

Why would anyone want a clone when you can get the real deal...

Davidsons lists them but are out of stock.

The Norinco clone will only cost about 20% of what they get for the real thing.
