  American laws require too much BS on a car to make a new one cheap.
  
  Look at those Japanese making themselves brand new vehicles at only $3k each. They sell the same vehicles to Americans for $20-$30,000....with an emission system, airbags, and safety glass added.
  
  Smart folk they are. How they make a car in country with their high labor rates for so cheap is baffling.......nahhh no it's not. They are isolationist capitalists.
