Why does anyone imagine that any being would take a trip of 30 light yars or more to play hide and seek. They are not out there. Lots of folks do need to up their meds though.

The motherships (ciggarshaped) Usually filling up their tanks with H2O
From lakes (H20 needed for tranformation into hydrogen)
They also usually hide at the bottom of bigger lakes [8D] Between missions. [;)]

If you were an advanced alien and saw the kind of dimwits that lived on Earth, would you make first contact?
Our politicians would either put a nuke up their butt or lock them up at Gitmo for some made up security reason.

So I'm watching a show on tv last night about the subject. There are these people who swear that the little aliens are fetchin em outta bed at night and taking them to the mother ship for a round of diabolical experiments. So here's my questions; why aren't any of these people pissed? They all seem pretty passive. No one seems to be formulating any kind of defense strategy. If it were me I'd be thinking how I could get a few shots off at these little buggers before they could grab me. What do you all think?

Would a .45 acp stop an alien?
Who knows, you might need armor piercing ammo, or maybe a Kryptonite bullet.

9mm seems to work on Jaffa well enough, but Goa'Uld System Lords have a personal shield that blocks fast moving projectiles, generally throwing a combat knife at them works well [:p]

I think a silver bullet would be enough!

If it will stop a zombie it will stop an alien.

I was always taught to shoot center mass, but if they are sportin some type of inter galactic body armour a head shot should'nt be too difficult. I'm pretty sure I could hit that giant melon from 5 foot.

I sure agree with that HeDog. Furthermore, isn't it convient that these little critters can breath our atmosphere, like our pressure, our specific gravity, light levels, sound levels ect. The planet that their from must be a type M planet just like Earth.

Well think about it if you are going to explore a planet which would you pick, one that you have to use all kinds of life support systems to stay live on the surface or one that you can just land and get out like at home. To me it's a no brainer.

Plus, if there is more life out there why can't there be more class 'M' Planets [?]

As far as why they are calm about it maybe they have been give a drug to make them that way. Or they didn't have anything done to them that was scary. However I remember one guy that was very PO'ed about it and didn't get over it till he flew his jet up the big Ray Gun and took out their ship (Russell Casse, Randy Quaid, in Independence Day). I can buy the idea of aliens; just not that they'd find us interesting enough to abduct so many. One or two to study, sure, but not thousands.

If they ARE abducting us, they should also re-think their strategy. We're advancing constantly. At some point we'll catch up to them and start shooting back, ticked off because of the generations of anal probes!

We have ALL been abducted and are living on an alien world NOW.

They refuse to return us until we pay the ransom.

The ransom seems to be something like watermelon.

Will someone please send me one ??

You can tell there are no/few cultural/social anthropologists
    on board here.

What is being said here is exactly opposite to what they do on
    a daily basis.

Think about how many lab rats we have in cages around the world or the number of other animals that get tagged and released back in to the wild. I think the numbers are about the same.

We do not need guns or bombs to keep the aliens at bay. We shall only need to post billboard sized pictures of the women in Bill Clinton's life and they will immediately retreat to parts unknown.

Your thesis is that they really have come 30 lightyears to play hide and seek, because they are afraid of George Bush putting them in Gitmo?[:0]

He could not even get Scooter Libby put away![:p]

Whatever you are growing there in Kansas, I wish you would roll me a few![8D]

Hey Zip, please know that I genuinly believe that you saw what you saw in the desert that night many years ago. I'm not picking on anyone who believes or knows anything different than what I've experienced. I do find some of the reports questionable however. Just wanted to let you know that I'm not slamming anyone here who might feel different than me. [:)]

It is a type of dream where one thinks they are awake. So use any kind of gun you want to dream up. It will work better than any non-dream gun you have.

what I mean is that they would obviously study our transmissions (TV, radio, etc.) before deciding to come down.
Seeing that we are still a savage violent child-race, they would not make their presence known for fear that we would try to kill/capture them before they could finish saying "take me to your leader".

Note that in Star Trek it is not Federation policy to visit primitive, dangerous sublight worlds.

why don't they set up a tape recorder, video camera, bear trap, or whatever to prove they are actually being abducted? hasn't happened not even once. sorry, I can't believe it. I think they're just delusional.

if there was proof, I'd sure believe it. but there is none.

I have seen plenty of strong evidence in favor of UFO's though.

Exactly my point. in the interview with these people, they just act like thats how it is. Not mad or trying to avoid it or prove it. Buschmaster has the right idea, bear trap! [:D]

..OK. I admit it. I'm the alien ambassador that introduced Mork to Mindy. (after I had my way with her)
