Gun Show a Dud

Good evening, last weekend I went to a local gun show and was disappointed. The selection and prices were not better than any of our local gun shops. What concerned me the most was the booth with the para-military organization trying to conceal itself as a gun rights protecting group. I mean you mix messages when you dress up head to toe with military battle dress uniforms with your name and organization labeled on the shirts. After talking to them I felt that the message was that closely relating to skin heads and neo-zis rather than gun rights protection. If this is what the gun shows are like no at days, I've been to my last one.

  Never saw any skinhead booths at any gun shows I attended.

  I feel very fortunate to belong to WAC (Washington Arms Collectors) and they have great shows twice a month.
  There is not a show that I go to that I couldn't walk away with a good deal If I feel like spending cash. Most of the time I have to walk away and only later kick myself for passing on a good deal.
  The best way to make your local shows better is get involved with the Club and set up a table and buy & sell at what you think are good prices for your quality items.
  I am sure the attendees would be all over your table.

  I have seen booths with Military dress but it was for re-inactment/ historical type purposes, which is what gun shows should be about.
  There are still old timers at our shows with Display Only Tables with neatly typed out histories of the various firearms. All for the attendees viewing pleasure. I believe a lot of attendees have lost the true meaning of Gun and Knife shows when they get mad at a lack of steals and bargains at every table. I guarentee that I could find a bargain at every show I go to and hunting the bargains is what makes gun shows fun. Sure there are going to be higher priced tables but even they usually have something interesting to look at.
