Buy it now feature

I didn't realize that when you don't use the Buy It Now feature and you meet the reserve that the Buy It Now will go away.

Me and a friend were looking at an Item on Gunbroker and I told him I wanted it and was going to hit the BIN but he wanted to see what the reserve was so I agreed to jut under bid the BIN and find the reserve. Well I found the reserve but now can't use the buy it now.
The silver lining would be I save 50.00[^]
