Still confused on Dutch auction . . .

At no time did I ever bid on more than 5, so how did I win 8 of them?

Sorry Henry, I can't explain it. I just wanted to thank you for the heads-up NEVER to bid on a dutch auction.

You bid two different times. Once for 5 and once for 3 makeing a total of 8.

Yes, but each time I was told via email that I had been "outbid" so when I bid a higher amount for fewer items I thought that bid would replace the previous one....

Dutch auctions are wierd, especially with high-quantity lots. I don't get it either. If you talk to the seller and explain what happened they'll generally be pretty understanding, these sorts of screwups happen from time to time.

Well my power was out when this auction ended. Thougt I was winning and then received three emails when the power came back on that I was outbid. I bid once on 5 and ended up with 0. I don't think I like dutch auctions much.

the highest 79 bids win the amount of items they bid on for the lowest dollar amount out of those 79 bids.
You actually bid 11 times but only 5 of those 11 bids ended up in the final 79.
Its easy to understand.[;)][8D]
