you don't quite know what you are talking about...
fur, if it breathes, also helps as an insulating layer against the sun.
Also, jungles where Gorillas live are not uber-hot like the Sahara, they are warm and humid.

As far as extreme heat is concerned, I guess you think that the best clothing for suviving the Sahara would be a short-sleeved shirt and shorts. Well, the British Army once tested that theory, they sent out men in bedouin clothing, army fatigues, dress uniform, and "tropics uniforms" (short sleeves and shorts) on a cross country march. The guy in bedouin clothing fared the best, followed by the guy in fatigues. The gun in the tropics uniform was both sunburned and suffering from heatstroke and had to be hospitalized.

Hmm insulating hair...Might be ...But at least my black dog suffers in the heat.while the nude monkey with shorts (me then) enjoys the weather more the hotter it gets.
Anyone have any ideas about the logic of nude monkeys in the western world then ? Should'nt we benifit from having a thick fur then.

You are way up to the Monkey level and I am still trying to figure out how the ammeoba got zapped by lightning in the primortal soup and grew legs. You Must really be smart to have advanced to the monkey level of evolution.[;)][:o)]
