    I prefer the ball caps myself, But gotta admit on super hot days when I am doing detailing work the do-rag keeps the sweat from dripping on things. IE Spots etc.

    On the bike, do rags are worn for the simple reason, caps/hats blow off..

    Most of the old dudes are not going to like skull caps. I don't like skull caps. They make me think of gangs and they don't keep the sun out of my eyes.

    My Grandpa never left the house without a fedora. Thought baseball caps were trashy and cheap and showed a lack of class.

    Ditto. But I only wear mesh back caps. I've seen too many bald military "lifers". You gotta let your scalp BREATH!
    There's a guy at work who wears a dew rag AND a cap. I've been dying to ask him what the hell is up w/that!

    Lot of good that do-rag will do when your head hits the pavement. Guess it would contain the brain matter to make it easier for the paramedics to clean up.

    I agree...do-rags are for posers, thugs, or prison biatches.

    I hate wearing a hat, period. Unfortunately, my job requires me to wear one while I'm out doors, unless I'm on the flight line.

    I rarely wear a hat and the only time I wore dew rag type thing was when I was a painter texturer in residential homes.

    I see a lot of bikers with the dew rags and even leather ones now.
