Back of a pick up, or a U-Haul trailer. However you move it, strap it down like it was nitro glycerine.

Did it more than once, however, I was fortunate enough to have the company I was working for move me. They hired movers - never a problem, completely insured and everything went smoothly. They had all of the right tools and packing materials and tie downs. Good luck!

I'm going to be moving from this craphole, liberal, armpit of the United States...Washington State, to the sunny, wide open desert spaces of Arizona.

i hope you like illegal aliens....and LOTS of them. arizona isnt as wide open as it used to be. its the fastest growing state in america right now. i would much rather live in washington

That would be the best way. Hire movers. They break it, They bought it, and you don't lift a thing. I've moved my family and I half way around the world a couple of times and movers are the way to go. Just take alot of pictures, record your property by making a good inventory, and your set. The cost would definately be worth it.

Thanks fellas! Any idea how much it would cost me if a moving company moved my 1400 square foot, 3 bedroom, 2 bath home, with a woodshop?

Are you renting a U-haul, how are you moving the rest of your household. I have moved a lot of awkward machines. If it was me, I would rent a u-haul trailer that is big enough to hold the weight. Then place each machine in it, and brace them with 2x4"s and screw them together. Strap what you can, brace the other. A little cutting to fit and screwing together and you would be suprised what strenth they have.

How would you guys move these awkward shaped heavy tools safely?

Joe and Vinny would do it while I eat lunch at Texas Roadhouse.

Go on line to one of the websites that does quotes for moving by the amount and the start and finish points.

Guesstimated costs will get it close to reality.

Actually, GA is the fastest growing state in the country right now. 4 of the 10 fastest growing counties in the country are in the Atlanta area.

I am a do it yourself kind of guy so I would move everything myself.

I would go down to the trailer lot and buy a 30' Flatbed fifth wheel trailer and load everything on it and tow it to Arizona then if I liked the trailer I would keep and if not I would sell it for almost what I paid for it and break even.

You will pay a small fortune to higher movers to haul everything that far.
