Response from my Representatives in Idaho (1022)
This seems to be a typical response from the Representatives in my state...the great state of Idaho![8D]

Dear Eric and Belinda:
Thank you for contacting me to express your opposition to H.R. 1022, the Assault Weapons Ban and Law Enforcement Protection Act. I share your concerns and welcome the opportunity to respond.
As you may know, this bill was introduced by Representative Carolyn McCarthy (D-New York) on February 13, 2007. This legislation would reinstate certain criminal provisions of the assault weapons ban (that had previously been repealed) for ten years. This legislation was referred to the House Judiciary Committee and awaits further action. I am not aware of any similar legislation in the Senate at this time.
Let me reassure you that I do not support gun control. We must protect and preserve our constitutional right to bear arms. I will not support any legislation that requires a waiting period for the purchase of a firearm, bans the ownership of firearms, promotes or requires the rationing or taxation of firearms, or the taxation of ammunition.
The Second Amendment reads: "A well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." I firmly believe this provision prohibits the federal government from denying citizens this right.
As you may know, gun control advocates continue to seek creative methods of advancing their agenda, both through legislation and litigation. You may be assured that I will continue to oppose all efforts to weaken Second Amendment rights.

My ballot usually has 90% loses on it also but what do you do?
Washington State is a beautiful area that is being ruined by a Liberal agenda.0
