Question for GB Sellers
I am wondering what is the motivation for a seller to have his lots up for only 24 hrs?

I was high bidder on an auction for a handgun a couple weeks ago. I am not actually buying it, a friend is, but he is not a registered user on GB. Anyway, the auction listing said that "Payment is expected within 7 days." I got no problem with that. My buddy gave me the money the day the auction ended and with the signed FFL I mailed them off the next day. Three days after that I was told that the money and FFL had arrived. That was 10 days ago and the handgun has not been shipped yet, or at least has not arrived yet. I have emailed the seller twice since I was notified the money had arrived and have not got a response since. I am confident that I am not getting ripped off. The seller has a A+ rating overall, but the last month he has received some bad marks for problems. My question is, if he can expect payment within 7 days, shouldn't I have the right to expect shipping within 7 days of receiving payment? This is my buddies first official handgun and he can wait to get it. I am doing my level best to convince him that it is coming, but I don't blame him. I would be kinda irked myself. What do you think.

I think it is ok to ask this without bringing up a particular auction.
Anyway, do you sellers post an F for non paying deadbeat bidder Flakes?
I have had probably over 20 all together and 5 just this month.
I have never posted an F because I didn't want a retaliatory F posted against me but I sure wish I could post one and not have Unwarrented F because I didn't do anything wrong.
GB leaves it open and doesn't force feedback so I only give positive or none at all.
I might be doing it wrong I don't know.0 -

They deserve an F just for the fact that you have to pay the listing fee or go through the rigorous process of getting it refunded. 0 -
Have only had one non-paying bidder on GB, and did leave them an F. I don't think they had any feedback to start with, and never left me any in return. 0 -
If you deal with a bad apple here, it is your duty to report it so others can avoid the experience. Only the lowest of the low, a nonpaying bidder, deserves an "F". If there are other circumstances, weigh them accordingly. But if you have a bidder who simply won't pay up, do your duty. 0 -

Thats what I would like to do but like you said an F alerts other bidders as to how they are and if they leave a retaliatory F on me because they justiFiably received an F it will alert bidders unjustifiably to not bid on my stuff.
That is why up until now I have not left any Fs even to deadbeat bidders. This has been the worst month with 5 non paying bidders and I even let one go as long as 2 months for payment because he kept promising to send it.0 -
How good are you at watching the calendar? There is a time limit for leaving feedback. I think it is 60 days, but don't quote me. Wait until just before the deadline, and post away. 0 -
Isn't there a special process for non-paying bidders? I think that initiating this process causes the site to take action against the bidder and negative feedback isn't even necessary. Are you reporting these non-paying bidders? I think that after twice they get blocked. 0 -
Lets turn this around if a seller misrepresents a firearm (lies in the decription) and won't allow return leaves messages unanswered, customer service won't help, doesn't he/she deserve F rateing? That happened to me they also left F rating for me for retaliation.I agree a non paying bidder deserves F but a lieing scam seller deserves an F also. 0 -
I left have several before, though I always did all I could to prevent it. I allow a month before I start a nonpaying bidder report, and then at that point I always have to follow through by leaving an F and blocking them. I send a reminder email about every week and always tell them everything I am doing, and how their time is limited for me to reverse the nonpaying bidder. Thing is once I have to do the nonpaying bidder I never hear from them again. Always concerned about getting an F in return, but have not yet, as I have never done anything wrong. Actually I think I have 2 or 3 nonpaying bidders this month that I will have to end this way, because it has been 3-5 weeks for them all and I have not heard anything from them. Never want to, but they leave no choice. 0 -

Yes, I always take the proper steps and get credited back the sellers fee. You are right I think GB will lock their account if they have to many failure to complete auctions logged against them.0 -

I agree. Deabeat sellers and bidders a like deserve an F.
All In All I find that the firearm community are some of the most upstanding people to do business with though. Very goods people. It seems that summer is the worst for the bad apples though and taint the otherwise excellent transactions.0
