revolver barrel swap????

Looking at a smith and wesson 357 revolver with 4" barrel.
I know you can buy a barrel in another length.
The question is Could I do this at home or would this be a gunsmith job?

  Gunsmith job. There is a cylinder to barrel gap to set.Gunsmith should charge somewhere in the 50-100 buck range to change it out.

  If you want to learn how to do barrel swaps and start a gunsmith business then you could swap it out at home after you buy all the proper tools totalling severeal hundred dollars or if this is a one time deal you would like done you could always take it to the gunsmith and pay him under 100.00 to do it for you.
