Sight Preference Question
The XD 45 thread reminded me of how the sighting system is set up on the XD line.
They set them at 6 O'clock so if you are aiming at the center of the target at about 25 yards, your actual impact will be 8" high.
I prefer to aim at what I want to hit, not underneath of what I want to hit.

Depends, with handguns I am mostly praying anyway. With scoped rifles, most of mine are sighted 2.5" high at 100 yards, to be point blank at 175 to 200 depending upon the caliber.
8" high at 25 yards would be unacceptable to me, assuming I could do that well with one sighted point blank.0 -
My buddy missed a Bobcat at 25 yards with his new XD 45 the other day and he never misses. Thats when it was tested on paper and was informed that springfield uses the 6 Oclock approach with their sights on the XD. 0
