AR15 question.
I am trying to decide on what kind of 16" barrel to put on my AR.
First one is
" 16" Heavy barrel".
The second one is
" 16" M4 contour barrel".
They are both 1/9.
Which one is better? It will be used for target, hunting, and for SHTF.
Thanks for any advice you fellers give.

AFAIK, "16" M4 contour barrel" -- is contoured to take the M203 type of device, so unless you're planning to put on 40mm "signaling device" I'd go with a heavy barrel, just make sure it's chambered for 5.56mm NATO, not .223.
Someone correct me if I am wrong.0 -
You want the "cool", "tactical" look? Get the M4 barrel. Otherwise, get the heavy barrel. 0 -
If you are actually going to to tote it a lot get the light contour chromelined from Bushmaster.
Otherwise, get any heavy contour chromelined barrel.

I like the 16" standard (old style) barrel. Even had a heavy turned down to standard contour once. Lighter weight. [:D] 0 -
I prefer the heavy barrel over the M4cut. 0
