Chili sounds perfect. Do a search here with "chili" as the term - you'll find several threads with recipes.

Go with the chili, if their belly can't handle it they should eat something else.

Doug: (And all who read this) Here is a Killer good recipe - 2 Ingredients!

One bag o Meatballs from Costco.
Three cans Contadina Brand Sweet and Sour Sauce.

Bake Meat balls in Oven till they "Leak some of the grease out".
We also preheat the Contadina sauce in a pan till it bubbles, and adjust flavor we sometimes add Yoshida's or Soysauce, and I would have added some peppers, but not for the olderfolks.

Pile preheated stuff in the crock pot, and put it on High till it is bubblin, then Low till you are nearly ready to transport, then high till you leave. Try to get ti plugged in where it is served, but it does hold heat pretty well anyway. You oughta see the oldsters sneakin over for "just a couple more" !!!!

    Best,

Guy & Pat (my SO) - her recipe - she sez you might want to double the recipe - depends on the size of your crockpot. Ours is pretty full with one bag o balls.

...Sliced, smoked sausage and kraut. Top with Swiss cheese.

...Won't spill as easily as chili.

    The easiest is lil smokies.
Just dump a bag or 2 in the crock pot and heat.
You can transport everything easily and then open and dump the lil smokies in the crock pot once you get there and heat up.
99% of people like lil smokies too.

Big ol' crock pot full of white beans! Guaranteed to go over well, and clear the luncheon out before it drags on too long!

Handload's recipe is the winner so far.

I'm going to the store to get the ingredients in a couple of hours.

    Any other suggestions ??

The meatballs are about as easy as it will get, unless you are looking for a young redhead to come in, and cook it for you.

Put some peeled potatos in them, cook them together and they will soak up the gas!

I decided on Handload's recipe, but I added to it a little: some yellow onions cut into large chunks, some green and red bell peppers in 1" chunks and a can of pineapple chunks, plus a little bit of hot red peppers for flavor.

I think I'll be taking two crockpots.
