New Bass Pro Shop opening in Foxborough

I heard at our last gun club meeting that there is a new Bass Pro Shop that is going to open this Wednesday over in the Gillette stadium parking lot in Foxborough. It is really close to Mansfield, MA where I am, but I'm still kind of mixed on that kind of operation.

What do y'al think?

    Nice to go to and look around. If you look long and hard enogh, you might find a good deal around. Everything else is way overpriced.

    Our's opened up about a year ago (maybe two, I'm gettin old and can't keep track of time anymore) and it is great if you like to fish. Before they opened my only choice was Walmart or online to get any lures, tackle, line, ect. I think their firearms are a little high but sometimes you can get a good deal on ammo. If they have a gun that you like and Walmart (or Dicks, ect) has it cheaper they will match the price. Ours is the largest one east of the Mississippi second only to Springfield. It's my 9 year old's favorite store.

    Agreed. If you're looking for basic gear, shop elsewhere. If you're rich and/or snobby, and insist on name brand stuff and/or paying top dollar in order to impress your friends, BPS is the place for you!

    I like to go just to look at the aquarium![8D]

    New store in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. A complete disappointment. Overpriced, poor selection of shooting/camping equipment. All show and no go. First and last time I'll go there.

    Make sure you make it to their grand opening. I know the one in Denver had some great deals on guns when they first opened know not so much. It is nice to go look in their fine gun room, Not ever day i look at shotguns selling for 70k+

    Coupla years ago I got all excited about Bass Pro opening just 4-5 miles from me in one direction and Cabela's opening about 20 miles in the other direction. Well, Cabela's opened on the first weekend of October and I still haven't been. The Bass Pro is due to open in February. I guess the anticipation was greater than the actualization for me. But I guess it'll be nice to have'em around in case I get the urge, eh?
