Romanian AK Parts Kits

Does anyone know how they ended up as parts kits? And, does anyone know how they got here?

I don't know all the wheres and whys.... but the kits that are advertised have had their receivers cut in half. I bought one but so far I don't have the receiver to reassemble.

Has something to do with Clinton's Gun Ban and another law that was passed concerning imported evil "assault" guns.

I need detailed information if possible. I know why the receivers are cute, but I need to know why the Romanian government sold them.

$ and I believe the Romanians have gone to the nato 223 cartridge like the rest of the former Soviet Union.

nearly all mil parts kits are sold because they are either out dated,(m44 etc) and to raise $ for ailing gov who still dont grasp anything but commie process

I figured as much. I'm writing a personal essay for my creative nonfiction class and needed to do a little research. Anyone else have Mark C specific info?
