Experience With Colorado Outdoor Sports?
Does anyone out there have any experience with Colorado Outdoor Sports (COS)? COS is a members-only club that provides "access to hundreds of thousands of acres of quality private land across the country for hunting, fishing, and camping at a price you can afford." Club membership requires filling out an application , acceptance of that application pending a background check, a one-time membership fee of about $750, and monthly dues of around $60. Supposedly, all of that entitles one to sign up for exclusive small game hunting on club-leased property at no additional charge. For big game there's an additional fee paid to the land owner. Spouses, children under 18, and kids in college qualify to hunt on a single family membership. Guests who are not direct family members pay a $35/day fee for small game. I'm not sure what the lash-up is for big game. Most COS leased land is in Colorado, but members have access to property around the country because of associations with about 5 other like organizations.
While this all sounds a little pricey, I'm new to Colorado and don't have much experience with hunting in this state. Therefore, I'm considering the COS option. However, before taking what could be an expensive leap, I'm hoping to hear from others who might have experience with this organization, good or bad.

Go hang out at your local ranges and gun clubs.
You'll get better info, meet real people/friends, and with the money you save, you can buy a new rifle.
