Could you send me an email? I finished my technical writing class a few weeks ago, and I'm wondering about communicators in the working world. Does your firm use tech writers? Thank you.

    some do. I've seen ads for them occasionally and I interviewed for that once myself. I'd guess looking on monster.com would give you just as good an indication as would talking to kristov.

    or, goto http://money.cnn.com/magazines/moneymag/bestjobs/2007/ and see what it says about tech writers. mebbe even for individual fields.

    if that's what you want to do, you need to find out how many years of what experience you need to get a job. you'll probably be disappointed.

    I hoped Kristov or some others could lend some insight into the actual real world applications that employers see everyday. One member contacted me through email and told me a little bit about his company. I'm willing to pass along writing samples and resumes to anyone interested.
