put it through a Brita filter a couple of times. It'll take that cheap "mouthful of dirty pocket change" taste right out of it.

I went back to the store and swapped it for some gordon's "wildberry flavored" vodka. tastes more like like cough syrup. yecch. I don't think flavored vodka is my thing.

they had all the flavors of smirnoff, seagram's and gordon's vodka, they even had vodka that said it was from australia! with a surfer guy painted on the bottle. and coconut flavored vodka. I think I'll stick with the classics from now on.

if I would have known I wouldn't like the gordon's, schnapps wouldn't have been a bad idea. it's been a while since I drank schnapps. cheap schnapps used to be a staple booze for me.

why do people feel it necessary to try and subject others to their beliefs?

My wife always says that if it is from Poland and it is a vodka I must have tried it and I have. Although I happen to like potato vodkas very much, this is not one that I'd be drinking again any time soon. Luksusowa is derived from the Polish word luksusowy, which translates closely to the english word luxurious, but it is not luxurious in my opinion. Chopin is the premier Polish potato vodka but the importer keeps the price jacked up into the super premium level so a lot of folks pass it over due to the price and since spuds cost more money than grains and you need a lot more of them for distilling potato based vodkas always tend to be more expensive. If you want a really tastey Polish vodka then Kristov's secret is Wyborowa, which is a rye vodka with a smooth sort of peppery taste to it.

There are a couple of decent Japanese vodkas. One os Tori Kai, which is only about 30 proof and very mild. An interesting vodka is the Jpanese WOKKA SAKI, which is an actual blend of vodka and saki along with some interesting fruit flavorings. My oldest daughter bought a bottle of this vodka for me (I have over 100 vodkas) and I must admit I found the taste interesting and the booze itself was refreshing when ice cold. The worst vodka I have ever tried was Oso Negro (Black Bear) from Mexico [V]. There are paint strippers that would burn less on the way down.

I heard years ago that about a tablespoon full of pepper could be
dumped into the bottle to sink the fusel oil to the bottom. Dunno if its true or not. But it's one reason not to drink the end of a run (first run's weak, middlins is good, don't drink the tailins or the mash) [xx(]

I'm no connoisseur, in fact I rarely drink now days ... seems like it just doesn't take much to get buzzed, and even a buzz results in a headache the next morning ... and I don't recover as fast as I used too [:(] the only Vodka I've had in the last few years is "Absolute" ...

I always thought those fruity blends were for fruits ... or girls.

I need to drink with Kristov.

Grey Goose? A way over priced vodka if ever there was one. I found Svedka (sp?) a very good buy at $12 +/-.
