Good News - Oregon Gun Laws!
This is from an article in the Friday March 30 Oregonian Newspaper, the metro section:
Deadly Force: An Oregon ruling says a person doesn't have to try to escape or avoid a fight before striking back!
The law does not require a person to avoid or escape a fight with someone else before using deadly force in self defense, the state Supreme Court ruled Thursday in reversing an Oregon murder conviction.
"The Legislature did not intend to require a person to retreat before using deadly force to defend against the iminent use of deadly physical force by another." the unamimous decision said.
The court also took the unusual step of flatly saying that a 1982 state supreme court ruling was wrong to create the escape-or-retreat requirement since that language is not in the law itself.
This is big news for gun owners living in Oregon and It will have the anti-guners hacking up hairballs.

Stuff like this show the anti-gunners the days of getting pass anything and everything that is anti-gun are over!!
I also shows the pro-gunners that we can stop new anti-gun laws and reverse the old ones!!
Stuff like this doesn't happen on it's own. The letters we've written, the phone calls, selective voting, the petitions, etc, etc, all make a differance. We must keep it up.0 -
