A true Texan
Truly A Texan......
A very gentle Texas lady was driving across a high bridge in Texas one
day. As she neared the top of the bridge, she noticed a young man
fixin' (ready) to jump. She stopped her car, rolled down the window
and said, "Please don't jump, think of your dear mother and father."
He replied, "Mom and Dad are both dead; I'm going to jump."
She said, "Well, think of your wife and children."
He replied, "I'm not married and I don't have any kids."
She said, "Well, think of the Alamo."
He replied, ''What's the Alamo?''
She replied, ''Well bless your heart, just go ahead and jump, you dumb Ass Yankee[:D][:D][:D]

You can tell she was indeed a "gentle" lady.
A rougher one would have shot him instead of letting him jump.[;)]0 -
I smile, even though I'm a Damn Yankee, and damn proud of it. 0 -

Did you move to the South?
I always heard a Yankee was someone visiting from the North and a Damn Yankee was someone that moved to the South.
Damn Yankee at heart.[:D]

dumbass yankee reporting,
I happen to know about the Alamo and happen to have at different times theorized about commanding anachronistic units in the battle (like a modern US fireteam, or a squad of WWII GIs etc [:D])0 -

Dude, 24 men with Garands would have f***ed the Mexican army up one side and down the other. Throw in a nice recoiless rifle and you've got a PARTY!0 -
Me 2 ksu - as well as other battles.
Dien Bien Phu come to mind.
