Dressing up

I went looking for a hat today, a fedora for my suit. 8 places no hats, juswt ball caps. Americans ar enotg interested in dressing nice any more. Even at church thye wear jeans andn t-shirts.
One woman told me go to the black side of town they dress up over there. One girl asked if a fedora was suit.

    Yup. A classy look to go with my 3 peice dark pinstripe suit. One place has Steve Harvey hats they said were similar

    I wear a fedora in the winter when I have to suit up. Its still very stylish. Then again I where jeans to church. Except in the summer time, then I wear shorts.

    I wear one when I wear my trench coat. I call it my "Mike Hammer" hat.

    I'm pretty sure most of our Membership has no idea why.

    What do the X stand for in a Stetson. I have a 3x Silver Beaver in 7 3/4 at home. Paid $200 for it 10 years ago.

    Mine is a 5X. I believe that the more x's, The better quality of the fur felt. If I'm wrong, I'm sure I will be corrected shortly.

    The more XXXXs the higher the quality of the felt -- at least within a given brand and the higher the $$$. Some differences between brands. The one on my head as I type this is a 20X Serratelli. I like it better than the Resistol black gold or the Stetson 25X. But the 100X Stetsons are nice, very nice.
