I have the worst and best job in the world
Today was great sitting on alert. The first three hour on shift consisted of sitting in an easy chair sleeping, then an hour of briefings and preflighting with the air crew, then 6 hours of playing cards and watching movies. It was a good day. THe rest of the year will make up for today though.

Enjoy it while you can.
It was my experience that those moments are few and far between. Most of the time you work your ba!!s off so that you can continue to get paid very little money.0 -
Cat- You wine a lot.
I don't mean that to be rude, but you'd be a much happier guy if you could convince yourself to change the sentances a little bit.

"It was a good day. The rest of the day will make up for today though."
Chop off that second sentance.
"It was a good day."
Enough said, no sense in complaining about things that havent even happened yet, and certainly no need for the dramatic indication that for every good day, you're looking at a crappy year.
You can have more influence on how your day will turn out that anyone else, in the vast majority of circumstances.0 -

It was a good day if those aircraft are still on the ramp when your shift ends. 0 -
lol.. I should have known to stay out of this thread [:p] 0 -
Probably would be best to stay out of any thread posted by me. Some day there'll be a post reporting that someone had to be committed due to depression caused by reading one of my threads. Who ever you are, I'd visit but that'll probably make things worse. 0 -
It could have been worse! If you had been in the Navy on Ready Alert you would have been setting in an Aircraft on the Flight Deck strapped in and ready to launch.[:0] 0 -
I actually enjoy reading your posts, and no, I've never gotten to touch a nuke, or a b-52, or the ufos at roswell.. (or dont you talk about that stuff) [:p][:D] so you have me beat 0 -
I think the contrast between these two brothers is interesting.
Anyone who has the courage to describe their personal life makes Gunbroker an interesting place. Heck, some of you guys probably know more about the real me than people I work with. Partly because I don't care so much what you guys think of me, therefore I am less guarded.
But this place does make lousy group therapy. I think our response to anything is "DUMP THE WENCH!"0 -

Still lacking attention, are you ??
