So you took a weaning pup you had no right taking and through your own neglect or another's malice it died eight months later?

What is this....your friggin' feel-good Christmas story?

No, not a feel good story. Guess you feel it would've been better left to wreak havoc in the nearby heighborhood..and likely suffer a worse fate?

You said you were out four-wheeling in the national forest. At last check, that's their neighborhood (or what little is left of it, what with every moron in the world riding on an ATV), and this despite your inventing scenarios of future havoc saved to rationalize your senseless intervention.

BTW, there was a new neighborhood of about 10 houses not 1-2mi. away, and a town of 1,5oo or so not 4mi. away, and houses all around it within a few miles. Currently there is a new house in that very spot.

The ones i left are probably the ones i see ran over by cars. Yep, shoulda just left em. I know, probably just another goofy, dreamt up senario.[;)]

An old fellow I used to know out in the sticks around here, had a wolf-hybrid for many years.
I thought of getting one at a point, but he recommended against it.
He said they attach to ONE person, and will take to no one else.
He lived alone, as his wife had passed years earlier.
It was a very attractive dog though.

There is an outfit - I think in the Carolinas, who breeds what they call Timber Shepherds.

They look to be great animals.
