Mt. Rainier ... beautiful day!

I got a couple of hundred photos today.
I could have shot twice that many but
we had to get back in time for dinner.

camping - and I'll bring plenty of

    I had the pleasure of flying around that mountain when we would go to Yakama from Ft Lewis (I was a crew-chief). It was spectacular! It almost made sitting in a tent for a couple of weeks worth it. [:)]

    Here is a picture my son took of Mt. Rainier while he was training at Whidby Island NAS. These are EA6-B Prowlers.

    [8D]Mt Hood/Rainer/St Helens all so beautiful, Then in 1980 when St Helens blew it changed everything--I was At Bangor (subase) in upper Wash and luckily I was using K&N air filters in my (then) dodge 4wd-

    Dennis Smith, He was training to fly the "no fly zone" over Iraq before the war. So I think the picture was in 2000-2001. He was a REO on the EA6-B on the Nimitz for two tours, then he was on the ground when the war started, uniformed, with the DOD. My wife and I visited him while he was training and before he was deployed. We took the Mt. St. Helens tour and did some tent camping on the different mountains. Beautiful country.

    Beautiful Mountain in spring early summer but it gets smog orange and a lot of snow melt by the end of summer.
    I get to see the mountain everyday, every day the clouds are gone.

    Those jet photos are awsome, but nothing beats flying up close and personal to the mountain in a HUEY or an OH-58.
