About time the Unions are getting fed up
P.S: I've just heard that the AFL-CIO is finally realizing that
an amnesty bill would devastate and demoralize their membership.
They have come out strongly against this bill!

I was pro union even before I joined the Teamsters!
Unions have there good points and thier bad points, but all in all I think the good well over powers the bad!

I was/am Union, Marine Engineers' Beneficial Association...
They did real good by me in one way, and real bad in others...
All-in-all, I guess I owe them a big thanks - I got to retire at age 51, with a pretty big "Nest Egg".
That said, I think Unions' time is truly past, and they need to either change their ways, or go the way of the Dodo. They really need to stop defending/supporting the dummies, and start allowing some sort of recognition/pay raises for those who are more capable than the lowlifes. What happened in my industry is that the unions bargained higher wages than the even a lot of the average men were worth, and then filled many of the jobs with idiots who couldn't do their jobs. Unions need to make certain that the members can, each and every one, handle their jobs without fail. Druggos, Dummies, and cousins/nephews and favorites of the officials should not be promoted or supported unless they can do the darn job!
Even though intellectually it is abhorrent to me the way Unions Extort their Employers and protect the dummies, My Union left me in a great position. I will probably not be able to outlive or spend all my retirement monies, and I owe that in large part to the MEBA.0 -

Did anyone hear Paul Harvey the other day talking about all the money sent by unions to the DNC? Appears that the NEA, UAW, AFCSME and one other I don't remember sent over $600,000,000 last election cycle.
That's money from working slobs who pay their dues and don't ask where it goes.
If it weren't for these 4 unions; the Dims would have to start robbing banks to run candidates who want to ruin the country!

I'm sure they can be, and are good, in some situations, but we were sold down the river many times over by crooked union staff.
I'm sure i've told this here before, but here it is again. Our pres would instigate a wildcat strike, then three days later we'd go back (no known reason), and the pres would either buy a new car, motorcycle, or property. Was a pretty good racket he had going on...while it lasted.0 -
I was a union member - Ironworkers - at one time, and never saw the slightest benefit, particularly when they supported political beliefs that I did not - socialism, communism, redistribution of wealth, cronyism and laziness.
HOWEVER - I could have my opinion completely turned around if the unions can get the criminal mexicans out of America.
