might have to look for a new job
the company i work for was just sold to a south Korean company. they dont have any manufacturing companies in the us. well i guess now they have one. we build skid steer loaders. were the only plant in the us that builds this brand of skid steer loaders. we have other plants that do build mini excavators and two plants that build accessory's and attachments. they said they dont have any plans to move the company anytime soon, but i will believe that when i see it.

I worked for a company called Camco. Then a huge corporation named Schlumberger came in and bought us. They told us they would not change anything as we were turning a profit. Within 5 years they shut down all of our shops in the south except one in Houma Louisiana. If we wanted to keep our job we had to move there.
Point is don't beleive their crap. If the obvious points a certain direction and they are making steps that way, that is more then likely what they are doing no matter what they say. Be carefull and I hope everything works out well for you.0 -
I remember when Clark (forklifts) was bought - promised a no move
situation - and then five years later they closed to factory in Buchanan,
MI, and moved to Atlanta, I think.
The town has never recovered.0 -
Oughtta be some pretty good real estate bargins there.
But, of course, that would mean living in Michigan.
