A blue steel and walnut K frame has the finest action ever hung on a handgun from the factory.

The old K frame is much sexier than any L frame ever built. Look at its' lines, feel the weight and the smoothness of the action. Look at that gorgeous, deep blue.
Come on... you KNOW the right decision.

And, when that stainless is just a ho-hum gun in 20 years, people will still delight in the classic beauty of blue steel and walnut.

Besides, I cant stand those ugly azz black rubber grips. Bought a set of Pachmiers(sp?) 20 years ago for my model 66. Put them on and tried them. They worked real good. I took them right back off and haven't had them on since.0 -

I have one stainless handgun. I got a Ruger SBH with the intention of hauling it around riverbottoms to hunt hogs. I knew it'd get used and abused. Every other handgun I've owned has been blue. I think it just looks right. 0 -

I agree with Doug! The K Frames look the best. Just beautiful lines and they way they balance in your hands is sweet. I have had many over the years and just let them slip through my fingers. Hindsight is so clear!
The only thing I have left is a Model 65 stainless 4" ladysmith.0 -
